Chronicle (Yearbook)

The Chronicle (Yearbook)
Advisor: Mrs. Cooney

The yearbook is produced by the Design & Publication class. Students work on graphic design, writing, photography, marketing, editing and revising skills using the Jostens online program to create the yearbook. Consistency and accuracy are always the goal and are a top priority, especially when we work together as a group to create the book. But the yearbook is, at the end of the day, a student publication. A few editing errors slip through now and then, but we always give 100% effort.

The goal of the yearbook is to capture memorable moments at school that will resonate with students this year, and five or 25 years from now. Students are always welcome to share photographs for senior casuals, of classmates, friends and more. The key to getting published is to be in contact with Mrs. Cooney to meet deadlines.

The 2024 yearbook is on sale for $70 until September 30, 2023. After that the cost is $75. Yearbooks should be ordered by the end of January 2024. Order forms are available in the main office. Orders paying by check should be delivered to room 221A. Checks should be payable to "SHS Yearbook" with the student's name on the memo line. Credit card orders must be placed online.

Personalize your book with an engraved name and/or icons on the cover. There is a small charge for custom additions that must be included when the purchase order is placed.

Formal portraits are the showcase of The Chronicle.

Ladies should select a dark color top with three-quarter or long sleeves, with either collar, scoop, or v-neck style.

Gentlemen should select a dark, solid color button down or collared shirt.  A tie or jacket may be worn.

Look your best. All portraits are taken with a traditional background.

Darker clothing provides strong contrast. Lighter colors, patterns, ruffles, stripes, and scarves may not produce the best formal portrait. T-shirts, tank tops, hoodies, sweatshirts, spaghetti straps, undergarments, off shoulder and strapless garments are not appropriate clothing choices for portraits.

Art Rich Photography will take your picture at school.  Watch for the dates in September and October. There is no fee for official yearbook photographs. Photographs may be purchased from the studio.
