The application process for the Ag-Sci program is an extensive one for new students and parents. The department has developed a checklist that the applicants are encouraged to use as they work through process of applying to our program.
The Southington Agriculture Science and Technology Program accepts applicants who have an interest in a career in Agriculture Science and Technology, Agri-Business, Production Agriculture and other related fields.
The curriculum is designed for enrollment in Grade 9. However, students entering Grade 10 may be considered if space is available, and if the student meets other admission criteria. To be considered for enrollment in the Southington Agriculture Science and Technology Program all of the following information must be received by the Agriculture Science and Technology Center by the application deadline. We cannot act on incomplete applications.

- Ask your counselor for a hard copy of the application
- Save a copy of the application. When you complete the fillable application, print and turn into your counselor.
- Save a copy of the application. When you complete the fillable application, you can attach it to an email and send it to your counselor.
The window for applying to the Southington Regional Agriculture Program begins on September 15th and extends to December 15th. The due date for the application is December 15, 2024.
Once the complete application is received by the Agriculture Department, the application is ranked according to the fulfillments of the criterion. If the applicant scores well on the *criteria, the applicant will proceed to the next stage and will be invited to the Agriculture Center for a brief interview and tour. Once your scheduled interview and tour is concluded we review all your required material and then a decision will be made on the acceptance of the student. We will notify you by **email on the next step once accepted.

Students enrolled in the Program must satisfy the State’s work-study requirement for the program, called the Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE).
